Youth Futures Program Soccer friends and partners, Youth Futures is spread over a 7 month period (February-May 2013) and provides, in both official languages, advanced leadership training offered by the City of Ottawa, a variety of employment positions, and a post-secondary experience. This year’s leadership training will take place at the Sandy Hill Community Centre and will be given by certified leadership trainers. It will include a High Five certification, Level C CPR and First Aid and AODA training. It will also include various leadership games, mock interviews and career exploration. The participants will also have the opportunity to participate in an optional volunteer component during their March break. The program is open to high school students only. We will host an information session with program coordinator Kate Raven at the lower gym of Ridgemont High School on Friday January 18, 2013, from 6pm to 7pm.
